Financial crisis brings Speedy’s Transportservice to knees

At the beginning of this week the bankruptcy proceedings about the assets of Speedy’s Transportservice GmbH were opened at the Landesgericht Linz (regional court). The insolvency affects 12 employees and around 15 creditors. According to the Austrian association for the protection of creditors – KSV tangible assets amount to EUR 65,000. Liabilities amount to EUR 2 million. In the course of the petition for bankruptcy the company also made an application for compulsory settlement.

Speedy’s Transportservice operated national and international transports, using 35 trucks in total. Distribution of tyres within Austria had been a main focus of the service portfolio. The Management concerns high diesel prices and the recently declining amount of orders to be the reasons for the insolvency.
