Road & Rail Spedition expands container trucking service from Vienna to CEE

The international freight forwarding company Road & Rail Vienna/Trnava, specialising in truck and rail container transportations throughout Europe since 1991, enhances its container trucking-activities between the terminal Vienna (WienCont, Nordwestbahnhof) and the neighbouring countries Slovakia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Poland.

„The bilateral trucking offer we created last year was well received in the market. Therefore it will be further expanded now”, Norbert Grohmann, Managing Director and owner of the company, writes in a press release. In this paper the forwarder announces also that trucking activities between Austria and Hamburg, Koper, Trieste will be enhanced.

Road & Rail operates 51 container chassis to northbound westbound and southbound ports and departing from the terminals in Vienna and Budapest. With 10 employees at the locations in Vienna and Trnava (Slovakia) the enterprise forwarded more than 8,400 containers (14,300 TEU) with trucks and on the railway in 2008, which is a growth of more than 30 per cent compared to 2007.
