The retailer has submitted new plans which will see a completed development of 1.16 million ft2  – nearly double  the already approved  640,000ft2 scheme.

This will be the third revision for the site, which was bought from Harworth and the Lancashire County Pension Fund in 2017.

The new application sees the site expand to 62 acres following the acquisition of a 19-acre additional plot.

The new facility will total 1.16 million ft2 and consist of a 1,098,446ft2 warehouse with 72,562ft2 of offices. It will have 21m eaves height as well as 218 loading docks along the northern and southern sides of the RDC and the HGV parking areas across the northern part of the site. There will be parking for 573 cars as well as 185 HGVs.

Logistics North, at the former Cutacre colliery site close to Junction 4 of the M61, was granted outline consent for 4 million ft2 of development in December 2013.

It will be built to a BREEAM Very Good rating.
