Supply Chain Excellence Awards 2020: Clipper Logistics Award for Supply Chain Operations Shortlist

Aerospace, utilities and food and drink are all represented on the shortlist for the Clipper Logistics Award for Supply Chain Operations – and the winner will be revealed on 12 November.

The Clipper Logistics Award for Supply Chain Operations recognises projects that demonstrate excellence in the efficiency of a supply chain operation. It includes warehousing, national and international transport by air, sea, rail or road – or any combination of these elements.

You can discover who wins the award by registering for one of two broadcasts on the day:

DHL Supply Chain & National Grid.
How do you achieve a zero Lost Time frequency Rate of 7,006 days, or 19 years?

You put the culture of health and safety at the heart of everything you do every day, proactively engage your colleagues and visitors to site, work collaboratively and openly together to strengthen existing best practices and behaviours to ensure the standards expected by both DHL Supply Chain and National Grid are met and sustained.

The judges said that this was a well embedded contract, “very well demonstrated”.

B&H Worldwide.
B&H Worldwide has used its specialist aerospace logistics capabilities to deliver a global solution for a major international airline that was undertaking a major refurbishment of its A380 fleet. Its specialist aerospace knowledge enabled it to leverage our industry knowledge and unique IT capabilities to deliver an on-time service in an environment where larger logistics providers could not deliver the flexibility and visibility the customer required to manage their aerospace specific project. Co-ordinating over all global vendors, B&H Worldwide delivered a seamless supply chain solution by acting as part of the airline’s global logistics team.  This enabled their aircraft to get back in the air on time and on schedule.

CEVA Logistics with Nutricia.
CEVA Logistics has been working in close collaboration with its client, Nutricia, for over 25 years. In that time, it has continued to offer best in class service levels coupled with an innovative approach to drive a robust plan of continuous improvement at a variety of levels. Nutricia, part of the global Danone group, manufacture and distribute market leading nutritional products to thousands of patients in the UK every year. CEVA provides warehouse and transportation services operating from its 130,000 sq ft Healthcare hub in Redditch, ensuring that high levels of service and performance are maintained cost effectively.

The judges singled out the “warehouse initiative” on display in the entry.
