The innovative SILO² with removable access opening for “squared” logistics.
From 19th to 21st February 2013, ICAM renews its participation at the 11th edition of LogiMAT.
At the most important fair in Europe in the field of intralogistics, the company will show the vertical storage system SILO², thanks to which innovation takes the form of your storage space with over a billion possible configurations, up to 8 columns of storage and a modularity which ensures high dimensional flexibility.
Unique in its kind, SILO2 is the ideal solution for your storage requirements; it offers quickness and timeliness for product picking, handling different products of any kind and with very high specific weight.
Its modularity allows it to be used in place of multiple traditional single-column vertical storage systems, generating large storage capacity at lower costs: optimal use of space and reduced operating costs.
SILO² stands out due to its configuration flexibility which ensures maximum functionality and improves operator ergonomics, offering a wide variety of access openings and freedom of choice in the arrangement.
But the real strength of SILO² comes from the removable access opening which allows fast and comfortable picking of heavy (up to 500 kg) and/or voluminous materials, whose collection requires servo-controlled and/or automatic systems (cranes, pneumatic manipulators, anthropomorphic robot, etc.). All the advantages of an external access opening, without having any fixed bulk.
Extendable up to 20m in height, SILO² represents efficient automation able to redefine warehouse management logics: it enables faster storage, saves space, reduces time and energy required to operators.
