Third Boeing 777 freighter for Emirates SkyCargo

New unit within Emirates SkyCargo’s freighter fleet to be used on the route from Dubai via Frankfurt to Sao Paulo:

At the beginning of this week Emirates SkyCargo took over its third Boeing 777 freight aircraft. The machine is the most efficient long-haul freighter of civil aviation. With a long-range flying capacity of over 17 hours without refuelling, it has the capability of carrying up to 103 tons of cargo. From September the new unit is to serve the route from Dubai to Sao Paulo Viracopos three times per week with a stopover in Frankfurt.

Emirates SlyCargo markets the capacities of eight freight aircrafts (three Boeing 747-400F, two Boeing 747-400 ERF, three Boeing 777F) and the belly capacity of 148 passenger jets. The worldwide rotue network covers 114 destinations in 67 countries on six continents. In the business year 2010/11 the cargo division of Emirates Airline carried about 1.8 million tons air freight, resulting in a turnover of USD 2.4 billion.
