TNT Post Italia signs agreement with Buffetti
PostNL’s Italian subsidiary, TNT Post Italia, has signed a commercial agreement Buffetti Group that will allow customers to pick up TNT Post registered mail from more service points in Buffetti’s extensive network.
The partnership will start in the second half of July in a selection of Italian towns, with the aim of gradually extending the service to the entire Buffetti network of 800 outlets scattered throughout Italy.
Following a successful experiment in January this year in some Buffetti shops in Turin and Bologna, the initiative will offer a collection service for TNT Post registered mail being held at Buffetti shops in some Italian towns, among others in Rome and Genova.
Currently around 20% of TNT Post registered mail is not delivered first-time and ends up being held for collection in Italy. This agreement enables customers to collect such mail at their own convenience from their nearest Buffetti shop.
