Toyota publishes sustainability report

Forklift truck company Toyota Material Handling Europe has published its second sustainability report, entitled “Dual Impact: together we make a difference”.

It follows the Global Reporting Initiative’s Sustainability Reporting Guidelines in focusing on maximising safety, optimising business processes, and minimising environmental impact. According to the report, Toyota Material Handling shows measurable progress on 24 of the 25 sustainability targets set.

“Reporting is just the tip of the iceberg – to run a responsible business, there must be continuous improvement,” said Tom Schalenbourg, sustainable development director at Toyota Material Handling Europe. “As a company, we are keen to meet and exceed our objectives and remain an industry leader in sustainability.”
