trans-o-flex wins new large-scale contract
In the course of an international tender trans-o-flex Group has won the American Tech Data Corporation as a client. The second-largest computer wholesaler in the world (90,000 customers in more than 100 countries; annual turnover of USD 23.4 billion) selected the enterprise as a partner for dispatch logistics departing from the Central European logistics terminal in Bor (Czech Republic) and for handling distribution in Germany. Daily volumes amount to several thousand parcels and several hundred pallets. The total volume is handled in the trans-o-flex network. In Bor a staff team of at least 15 members is working to directly take over consignments from the 35,000 square metres warehouse of Tech Data. They are scanning the parcels, assort them on pallets and protect the goods with plastic sheets. All six trans-o-flex hubs in Germany are served by direct traffics from Bor. Thanks to this system, consignments collected before 10:30 p.m. can be delivered nationwide within 24 hours. Tech Data is accepting the lion’s share of clients’ orders coming in before the late afternoon on the same day, and forwards them to trans-o-flex.
