Transatlantic-premiere with AirBridgeCargo Airlines

Russian airline AirBridgeCargo opens scheduled route from Moscow via Amsterdam to Chicago O’Hare and return

For AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) the month of May stands in the sign of the launching of the first air cargo service with regular flights from the USA to Russia and return. The airline will serve the Moscow-Chicago route three times per week with a Boeing 747-400 freighter offering over 100 tons of cargo capacity per flight. The new scheduled route will have a stopover operate at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. Marketing of the capacities in the US market lies in the hands of Network Cargo Systems.

AirBridgeCargo is planning to open its own office in the US by the end of 2011. Tatyana Arslanova, Executive President ABC, sees the launch of the US-route as a further milestone in the history of the strongly growing airline.

AirBridgeCargo Airlines was established as part of Volga-Dnepr Group in 2004, and is today the largest Russian carrier in the scheduled air cargo market. With eleven Boeing 747 freight aircraft departing from Russia they cover the economic centres in Asia (China, South Korea, Japan) and Europe (Netherlands, France, Germany, Italy, Spain) and now also Chicago.
