Transport firm snaps up Burton-on-Trent shed

Derbyshire-based Ascott Transport has snapped up a 92,672 sq ft warehouse in Burton-on-Trent.

The company secured the warehouse on Centrum 100 from landlord Custodian REIT, after the previous tenant went into administration.

ATL employs over 200 staff, with the 92,672 sq ft warehouse premises meeting their warehousing and distribution needs for existing and prospective contracts.

CPP and McGuiness Waddington Real Estate (MWRE) acted for Custodian REIT.

Nick Waddington, partner at MWRE, said: “This letting to ATL underlines the ongoing strong demand for well-located distribution and logistics space in the Midlands.”

Sean Bremner, partner at CPP, said: “We are very pleased to have secured a new tenant at the site so quickly. Working proactively, we arranged numerous viewings on the property demonstrating the confidence in the region and a genuine demand for modern warehouse space in this location.  ATL are a well-recognised logistics operator and we expect them to be an excellent tenant to our client.”
