TransRussiaExpress sets course to port of Ventspils

Finnlines shipping company expands capacity and reach of its liner service TransRussiaExpress

From July the Russian liner service of the Finnlines shipping company provides an expanded transport capacity and a operating range. The Latvian port of Ventspils was introduced into the schedule of the TransRussiaExpress (TRE). In addition the service of the port of Sassnitz will be stepped up to two times per week.

After the recent expansion of the TRE service from Bilbao via Antwerp and Helsinki to St. Petersburg the port rotation Lübeck – Sassnitz – Ventspils – St. Petersburg is now also served. "We believe firmly in the potential of the Russian market. Its development can only be accelerated by a stronger connection to the north German ports", emphasises Uwe Bakosch – CEO of Finnlines.
