Turkish Airlines adds a new route to the Central Asia region

Khujand (Tajikistan) is the 277th destination of Turkish Airlines; it will be served two times per week

Turkish Airlines adds yet another city to its Far East network. On 3 August, the second-largest city of Tajikistan and the capital of the northernmost province of this country, Khujand, joined the network as the 34th destination served in the Far East. Roundtrip flights between Istanbul and Khujand will be operated 2 times per week on Mondays and Thursdays from Istanbul, and on Tuesdays, and Fridays from Khujand.

Turkish Airlines’ current expansion process is being governed by its ‘2008-2023 Fleet Projection Program’. In 2013, the Company ordered 117 aircraft from Airbus and 95 aircraft from Boeing which will all be delivered until 2021. With these additions, the fleet will reach a total of 439 aircraft. With the world’s 4th largest flight network, Turkish Airlines flies to 218 international destinations in 108 countries.
