Turkish Cargo launches cargo service to Turkmenistan

Turkmenia’s capital Ashkabad to be integrated into Turkish Cargo’s global flight network
 
Turkish Cargo add a new destination in Central Asia to their global cargo flight network. Starting from May 3, the cargo division of Turkish Airlines will operate a weekly freight service from Istanbul to Ashkabad (ASB) in Turkmenistan. Departure of the TK 6472-flight in Istanbul to Turkmenistan will be will be on Fridays 6.30 pm. Return flight (TK 6473) will take off in Ashkabad on Saturdays 2.10 am. They will deploy an Airbus A310F jet offering almost 40 tonnes air cargo hold.
 
Turkish Airlines counts among the fastest growing airlines. The fleet of 215 aircraft – including nine freighters – four Airbus A310-304F and five Airbus A330-200F – is currelntly calling 217 destinations worldwide. Turkish Cargo is in charge of marketing the air freight capacity. In 2012 they carried 425,000 tonnes of air freight and mail worldwide.
