Upgrade of pharmaceutical logistics with FM Logistic in Romania

Opening of a new distribution centre for pharmaceutical products of Aexxdis-FM Health Supply Chain in Bucharest

 

The FM Logistic Group has considerably improved its range of services for customers from the pharmaceutical industry in Romania. In Bucharest a distribution centre for medicines was recently opened. The facility spreads on a total area of 2500 m² and has a storage capacity of 3,500 pallets, in two temperature ranges. The site is operated by the joint venture Aexxdis-FM Health Supply Chain, who serves the customers sanofi-aventis and Zentiva.

FM Logistic as a specialist for contract logistics covers in addition to its domestic market France also countries in East and Southeastern Europe. The private enterprise operates its own national companies in Belgium, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Italy, Spain and China with around 12,000 employees in total. The annual turnover 2009 at the amount of EUR 639 million was generated 59 per cent by activities in the warehousing segment, 15 per cent by transport services and 14 per cent by the co-packing segment.
