UPS takes some UK facilities offline

Following a Dept of Transport security review that identified some areas of concern, UPS has taken some of its UK facilities offline temporarily.

The move has resulted in some delays in the movement of packages. While UPS is working to address these issues, the company has activated contingency plans and expects service levels to return to normal early this week. In cooperation with the Dept for Transport, UPS continues to assess the operation of its UK network to ensure full compliance with EU and UK security requirements.

UPS also continues to work with all agencies around the world to maintain and enhance security and to balance necessary protections with the free flow of commerce.
