Van Dongen implements new building in Wallern an der Trattnach
Cross Docking Center of Van Dongen & Van Bergeijk in Upper Austria to be expanded considerably A new construction project is to start shortly in Wallern at the Trattnach-river in Upper Austria. The Van Dongen & Van Bergeijk forwarding company is to replace the currently operated facility that provides around 1,600 sq. m. cross docking area by a larger one. “We intend to build a temperature-controlled hall with floor heating on a total covered area of 3,600 sq. m. and 18 gates. The object is to start operating by 2011 at latest“, says Daniel Lempl in the interview with the Österreichische Verkehrszeitung (Austrian Transport Magazine). Van Dongen & Van Bergeijk is spcialising in flower and plants logistics. The enterprise, being a division of the Dutch Van Dongen Group, serves the following countries: Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Romania. Major clients, DIY and garden markets are supplied on demand with flowers and plants from the location in Wallern/Trattnach. For distribution services a fleet of 15 vehicles is available.
