Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra trusts in Emirates SkyCargo

Music equipment of Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra travelled with Emirates SkyCargo from Vienna to Muscat, Oman

The list of customers of Emirates SkyCargo has gained a prominent name. The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, currently traveling on Gergiev tour, recently sent their entire musical equipment with the air cargo division of Emirates Airline from Austria to Muscat, Oman. The shipment was carried out with the AXA "priority" product service.

The tight time budget proved to be a special challenge in this transport. On 15 January at 11 a.m. the last of the Philharmonic concert in Vienna began and by 4 p.m. the musical instruments arrived at the airport. The machine with the flight number EK126 started at 22.05 to Dubai. Two hours later, the connecting flight took off for Muscat, where the musical equipment arrived on 16 January at 9.30 a.m. local time and the next concert was scheduled for the evening. The handling of the freight forwarding was in the hands of Gebrüder Weiss.
