Virgin Wines to use InPost lockers

Virgin Wines has reached an agreement to use InPost’s lockers for click and collect service.

InPost has more than 1,000 lockers, and reckons 70 per cent of the UK population is within five miles of one of its click and collect points, which operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Jay Wright, CEO of Virgin Wines, said: “We’re always looking for ways to give more choice to our customers and adding InPost’s network of physical pick up points, means they have even better flexibility when they shop with us. We’re all leading ever-busier lives so ensuring an easy and efficient shopping and delivery experience when people buy wine online with us is incredibly important.”

Jonathan Smith, InPost’s chairman, said: “Linking up with Virgin Wines means we effectively provide more than a 1000 click and collect wine shops across the country and shoppers can pick up their cases in seconds at a time to suit them.”

InPost counts Morrisons, Toys R Us, train stations and Transport For London sites among the locations that its click and collect lockers can be found.

* Doddle has added Hawes and Curtis to its network, with the firm’s customers now able to choose its the new parcel collection, returning and sending service located in and around train stations across Britain, for delivery of online purchases directly through the Hawes and Curtis website.

Hawes and Curtis chose to integrate with Doddle to supplement its existing delivery services, which includes click & collect as well as next day delivery.

Antony Comyns, Head of e-Commerce, Hawes and Curtis, said: “We wanted to partner with Doddle to improve our multi-channel offering and to give our customers as many delivery options as possible. We were also very impressed that Doddle offers a changing room service so consumers can try their items on in store before deciding whether to return them.”

Doddle also counts ASOS, Countrywide Farmers, New Look and TM Lewin among its customers.
