Wewo Europe latest AGV, the AVIA 225B, is an industrial transport carrier intended to replace conveyor belts and chain belts for products up to 2,5 tons. In order to create a better work environment for the workers, the AGV is able to lift its load up and the remaining parts are suited for walking, allowing a worker to reach an additional step higher without the need of stairs. Parking brakes keep the AGV in place so workers can work on it without shifting the product which is being worked on.

The AGV is a single unit without the need of a global control system which simplifies installation and adaption to the system, an unit can enter or leave without any influence to the rest of the system.

A remote control allows a simple but effective interface to the AGV, providing table height control and simple motion commands. Using a key switch the AGV can be set to manual mode, this allows the remote to control the AGV freely in all directions.

The front of the AGV carries a safety laser scanner that provides optimal safety for the AGVs path. Upon detection it will slow down and provide warning signals to the workers around it, alerting anyone to the warning ahead. If the object is unable to move the AGV will wait on a safe distance until it is moved and its path is cleared. In addition to protecting the AGV itself, the scanner will respond to a component cart attached to either side of the AGV by expanding its protection fields to cover the component cart in addition to the original AGV.

With a height of just above 20 cm, the AGV has an incredibly low profile. Using the lifting mechanism it can lift the load up to 80 cm, allowing for a large range of work height for the workers around the AGV. Due to the AGV its low profile it is very stable, reducing the risk of any load falling off due to shaking and rocking. Its maximum load is 2500Kg and has a maximum speed of 5Km/h.
