Wincanton sees peak growth
Wincanton has seen a year-on-year increase in the volume of goods it moved during the Christmas peak.
The 3PL completed 4,207 shipping container journeys, up 31% from 2018, and dispatched 25 million cases of food and drink.
The company also processed 250,000 FMCG pallets.
Earlier this month Wincanton renewed its contract with Wickes to provide home delivery of heavier items to customers across the UK for a further three years.
Wickes and Wincanton were awarded the DP World Award for Retail Innovation at the 2019 Supply Chain Excellence Awards.
