Wolters Kluwer acquires Transics’ TMS division

Wolters Kluwer Transport Services has acquired Transics International’s Transport Management System (TMS) solution, TAS, for a transaction price of €3.5 million.

TAS is a logical extension of Wolters Kluwer’s Teleroute, Tivios and Transwide solutions, which are tailored to the needs of the transport and logistics sector.

For Transics, the sale of its TAS business unit allows the company to focus on its core business, while Wolters Kluwer acquires an attractive customer base and a solution that completes its offering to the European transport and logistics market.

More than 300 TAS customers in Belgium and Luxemburg already using the highly scalable TMS software will now gain added value through the unique combination of TAS with Teleroute, Tivios and Transwide.
