Würth Österreich continues to rely on DPD parcel service

DPD Austria remains parcel logistics partner of the full service provider Würth in the segment of assembly and fastening technology until the end of 2014

These days DPD Austria is happy to continue operating for a reputable customer. Würth, the market-leading full service provider in the segment of assembly and fastening technology, will continue to use the services of the leading private parcel service. Based on the successful cooperation started in 2005, they prolonged their agreement until the end of 2014. DPD Austria moves about 680,000 parcels of fastening equipment per year on behalf of its client Würth. The gapless reporting of complaints and other process figures are benchmarks within the service range.

"We can now offer an average delivery time of 24 hours from reception of an order at the Würth headquarters in Böheimkirchen until the arrival of the goods at the customers," says William Trumler, Managing Director of Würth. "Apart from our internal processes, this is also possible thanks to the high quality standard at DPD." As a positive aspect of working with the parcel service the manager also emphasised on "the very low damage ratio".

“We look forward to the early renewal of our partnership with Würth until 2014," says Rainer Schwarz, CEO of DPD Austria. The shipments of Würth contain products such as screws, fittings and plugs. Recipients are mainly craft industries such as construction, wood and automotive industry, as well as construction sites. The latter appreciate DPD’s tracking services, which determine and provide information about the position and arrival time of parcels. DPD Austria’s option for a detailed planning of transmission times is a further competitive advantage for the industries listed.
