ZV Spedition & Logistik: Oliver Wagner is the new Managing Director

Mag. Oliver Wagner wants to boost the positioning of the logistics industry in the public; Andreas Demmer to remain expert of the ZV forwarding association
 
Mag. Oliver Wagner (35) was appointed the new Managing Director of the Austrian forwarding association Zentralverband für Spedition & Logistik, effective June 1, 2013. He will succeed Mag. Andreas Demmer, who remains an expert within the association. Oliver Wagner, who was born in Styria’s capital Graz, an experienced communication strategist with expert know how in the infrastructure segment, will assume the management of the Zentralverband für Spedition & Logistik with effect from June 1, 2013. Wagner had lately been holding the position of the Head of Communication of the socialist party SPÖ. He gained his know how in the infrastructure segment during his work as press spokesperson of the  Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology (bmvit).
 
Among other thins he had been in charge of the public relations work for the Federal Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture, as well as for the private training and education enterprise ibis acam. The trained political and communication scientist, and publicist had been holding several leading functions for internal and external strategic positioning of private, public and political institutions. Oliver Wagner is married to Sandra Wagner.
 
Wagner commented on his new task: "Logistics is the ‚central nervous system‘ of the domestic industry, linking humans, companies and goods. It’s my target to increase visibility of logistics as a key factor of Austria as a location for industry."

Zentralverband Spedition & Logistik is a voluntary association for the representation of the interests of forwarders and logistics service providers with forwarding concession. The Zentralverband is an independent, non-party, non-profit oriented association.
