Raben Group opens cross docking site in Cluj-Napoca

From now on the Raben Group operates about 4,300 m² of cross-docking warehouses in Romania. The expanded offer comes with the opening of a new location in the Siebenbürgen region on 15 May. In Cluj-Napoca (Klausenburg), a 1,300 m² transhipment facility with four employees was put into operation.

“We chose Cluj-Napoca because the city is rapidly evolving and the location of our branch offers easy access in an industrial area close to the motorway. A presence here is of great importance for a powerful distribution network in Romania,” Valentin Storoj, Managing Director of Raben Logistics Romania, comments on the choice of the location.

Due to the historically close trade relations between Siebenbürgen and another EU country, namely its neighbor Hungary, the Raben Group also expects a considerable simplification of transports between the two countries in the interest of its customers. The goods can be intermediately stored and arranged for delivery through three loading doors. Depending on the demand by customers, contract logistics services are also planned for the future

Raben Logistics has been represented in Romania since last year with 20 employees at its own locations in the capital Bucharest and in Arad, in the north of the Banat region. In the South-East European country, the company has developed into a partner that is much in demand by the industry for national and international transports for groupage, full and less than full loads. The transport solutions are tailored specifically to the customer’s size. “Our customers have, for example, factories in Siebenbürgen, so we can now serve them from Cluj-Napoca in the best possible way”, says Valentin Storoj.
