DB Schenker Arkas counts among the leading providers of integrated logistics services in Turkey
These weeks the Turkish national company of DB Schenker celebrates its 15 years anniversary. Established together with the Arkas group, a leading Turkish enterprise for sea freight, the joint venture DB Schenker Arkas is looking back on a dynamic development as it states. Notwithstanding the management is also facing up with great commitment to the challenges of the future. In this context a focus will lie on the further development of rail cargo traffic. Today DB Schenker Arkas employs around 360 persons at nine locations in Turkey (Istanbul City, Istanbul Airport, Bursa, Ankara, Izmir, Mersin, Gaziantep, Eskisehir, Denizli). Being a significant provider of integrated logistics services the company offers solutions ranging from consolidated freight transport and combined cargoes by road to air and sea freight, as well as service concepts for rail transport, logistics services, special transports, and fair and exhibition logistics. They were one of the largest providers of international rail transport and operate a total logistics area of 86,000 sq. m., as country manager Erik Leiss states.
