The Geser Spedition GmbH with its headquarters in Mintraching near Regensburg has been celebrating its 60-years jubilee in the past weeks. The family enterprise is regularly making use of waterway transport when moving oversized goods, if this is the way to handle more efficiently and sustainably. Their preferred hub for throughput from or to the waterway is the port of Regensburg. The Geser forwarding company has 48 employees who generated a turnover of around EUR 6.2 million in 2009. With 30 tractors, ten special trailers and eight dredgers the enterprise provides services in the fields of heavy haulage, earth building and demolition works, completed by a gravel plant. For interim storage about 2,000 m² are available. In the heavy transport segment the enterprise, owned by Willi and Markus Geser, which is a founding member of BigMove AG, can handle oversized cargo with a maximum weight of 100 tons per piece.
