Adria Transport starts service from Koper to Arad in Romania

The private rail company Adria Transport is shortly launching a new regular service for container transportations. In a release the Management announced the start of a new blocktrain-service from Koper to Curtici near Arad in western Romania. During the initial stage a service with weekly departures will be available. The transit time will be 32 hours. On demand the frequencies can be increased to two services per week, as mentioned in the release.

Adria Transport is a private-run railway enterprise focussing on freight transport. The company was established as a joint venture formed by Luka Koper d.d. and the Graz-Köflacher Bahn- und Busbetrieb GmbH in 2005. Core activities are transportations from the Slovenian seaport Koper to the European hinterland, for example kerosene transportations to the Vienna International Airport.
