Agility net profit rises 12 per cent

Agility produced a net profit of £27.1 million for the second quarter of 2014, an increase of 12 per cent compared to the second quarter of 2013.

Second quarter revenue was down by 4 per cent at KD £718.3 million compared to Q2 in 2013.

EBITA was at KD £52.7 million for the quarter, a 6 per cent increase compared to Q2 in 2013.

CEO, Tarek Sultan said “Agility continues to improve its financial performance, increasing profitability by 12 per cent in the second quarter despite ongoing sluggishness in the global economy and in demand for logistics services.”
