Air Charter Service prolongs its lasting “climb flight”

Thanks to freight charter boom in Germany: Air Charter Service reports 14 per cent growth in charter numbers in the 2013/14 financial year

Air Charter Service (ACS), one of the world’s leading passenger and freight aircraft charter specialists, has closed last financial year with a significant plus. The company has completed almost 7,500 charter contracts in its financial year, February 1, 2013 to January 31, 2014. The figure means a growth of 14 per cent year on year, with turnover above the benchmark of USD 400 million.

On average, a charter was booked every 70 minutes. Because most charter contracts consist of more than one flight sector, an ACS chartered aircraft departs more than once an hour in the reporting period. In Germany the freight charter segment has particularly increased (+40%). “We have seen constant year on year growth for several years, but this is one of the largest single jumps in charter numbers that we’ve ever had“, Ruan Courtney, Managing Director ACS (London), was pleased to comment the latest developments.

Air Charter Service (ACS) was founded in the UK in 1990, and is today globally recognised as one of the leading providers of passenger and freight aircraft chartering. The globally operating enterprise is committed to the business segments Commercial, Executive and Cargo Charter. At 17 sites on five continents they employ more than 280 persons. Apart from the headquarters in London ACS operates also locations in Dubai, Johannesburg, Moscow, New York, Paris, Hong Kong and Sao Paulo. In Germany Air Charter Service runs an office in Frankfurt am Main.

The core business of ACS is an aircraft database, managing up to the minute information of the movements and availability of over 50,000 aircraft worldwide. This enables the brokers to offer their customers the most convenient charter solutions on the market. Moreover ACS organises the entire transfer to the destination on demand.
