Air freight upswing at Vienna Airport
Vienna Airport records a considerable increase in air freight business in January The air freight division of Flughafen Wien AG has started well into the year 2010. In January 21,226 tons of air freight were handled (flown and trucked volume). Thus the Airport was 30.8 per cent above last year’s value. The positive development in air freight was accompanied by a slight increase in passengers. The number of passengers transported has risen 4.1 per cent on 2009, to 1.202 million persons.
