Schenker renames its company in Romania

Romanian rail company Logistic Services Danubius is now acting under the firm name DB Schenker Rail Romania

 

These days Logistic Services Danubius SRL was renamed DB Schenker Rail Romania SRL in Bucharest. The objectives of the DB Schenker branch in Romania is shifting more freight transport from the road to rail and offering customers continuous transports from a single source. Some 45 percent of transports are currently carried out on an international level.

“We are continuing to internationalize our transports,“ said Dr. Michael Hetzer, Chief Executive DB Schenker Rail Romania. “We hope to achieve this through a strong presence on the domestic Romanian market, where we have been active through one of our own companies since 2000,” he explains. In addition to conducting and organizing freight transports for customers in the automotive, building materials and other industries, the company also offers comprehensive industrial shunting and maintenance services.

DB Schenker Rail Romania SRL has its head offices in Bucharest and Timisoara in Romania. It currently employs around 170 people.
