Antwerp has now intercontinental rail link
Rail connection from Antwerp to Chongqing in China starts operation
The Port of Antwerp has recently presented a rail connection between Antwerp in Belgium and Chongqing in China. Intermodal operator Hupac is serving the route in both directions. Sufficient cargo in both directions is a crucial factor for the viability of the line. The 10.000 km long rail connection runs from Antwerp over Germany and Poland to Ukraina, Russia, Mongolia and eventually to China. Hupac offers a daily service from the Combinant terminal in the port of Antwerp to Poland and further with Russia and China together with its partners Russkaya Troyka and Eurasia Good Transport.
