Buss Ports expands to the Netherlands

New location of the Buss group in Eemshaven to start operating in July 2011

 

This year Buss Ports presented an expanded service portfolio and planned developments for a new location in the Netherlands at the transport logistic exhibition in Munich. The terminal operations in Eemshaven shall start in July 2011. Orange Blue Terminals B.V., a Buss Group majority holding, will run the terminal.

Eemshaven is located a few kilometres from the German border, in the Ems delta. The port is characterszed by its rapid access to open water and onshore connections to railway links and Dutch highways.

Offshore will also play a major role at the new location in Eemshaven.Its geographic proximity to 21 offshore wind parks in the North Sea, a 14 meter draft and companies involved in the energy industry in the surrounding area offer excellent conditions to turn Eemshaven into a base site for offshore wind and renewable energy, the enterprise states confidently in a press release.

Buss Ports operates among others multi-purpose terminals in Hamburg and provides a diverse offer of port-specific services such as stowing, lashing and securing, export packing, as well as container freight station (CFS). At the terminals containers, project cargo, general and bulk goods are handled.

Moreover Buss Ports is planning and developing new port facilities.
