New Buss Ports location in Bremen

Buss Ports logistics enterprise acquires majority holding in WLP Weser Logistic & Packing GmbH

The latest transaction of the Buss Group led to an expansion of the product portfolio and a new location in Bremen. Acting under the name Buss Ports, the port logistics segment of the Hamburg-based enterprise took over 66.6 per cent of the shares of WLP Weser Logistic & Packing GmbH. This means they acquired the shares from Hansa Shipping & Logistik GmbH and Reiner Zimbalski. The new shareholder structure will be comprised by Buss, represented by Heinrich Ahlers, and the CHS Container Handel GmbH, with Werner Pöser as the Managing Director. Bernd Osmer will remain WLP managing director.

The share acquisition will reinforce Buss Ports‘ export packing services.” The location in Bremen can be used for existing business and expansion. The terminal area is trimodally developed”, the company says in a press statement. Moreover, with the acquisition of WLP Buss Ports will expand its activities in the area of shipping.

WLP’s product portfolio encompasses the planning, conception and execution of global shipping projects, the seaworthy packing and stowing of containers, as well as handling project cargo from Bremen. The enterprise was established in 2005. Its staff has longstanding logistic experience.
