Rhenus subsidiary RMS starts liner service to Norway

“RMS Norway Line“ connects Duisburg and Rotterdam with Norwegian ports

Rhein-, Maas- und See-Schiffahrtskontor GmbH, the Rhenus Group’s specialist for coastal shipping, is going to launch a weekly liner service from Duisburg and Rotterdam to Norway in the calendar week 46. The new product of the Rhein-, Maas- und See-Schiffahrtskontor (RMS) is to operate as “RMS Norway Line“. The service will start its journey on Wednesdays and Thursdays in Duisburg. The ports of call in Norway are Horten, Kristiansand (Hoellen), Sandnes, Bergen, Aalesund and Trondheim. More ports will be served depending on the volumes and on demand.

RMS has been active on these routes since 1958. In tight cooperation with Rhenus Group and supported by a strong agency structure in Norway the enterprise offers the whole service portfolio ranging from ex works to free goods delivery to the door.

"Thanks to our existing activities in Scandinavia we have good, close contacts with the Norvegian steel industry, their importers and dealers as well as with big steel producers and suppliers in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Austria, Italy and eastern Europe“, says Rüdiger Rösch, Manager of the lines of Rhein-, Maas- und See-Schiffahrtskontor. “We already know the market very well, and so the routes.“
