Air Moldova launches flight service from Vienna to Chisinau

Moldovan airline adds Vienna International Airport to its international route network; three flights a week to and from Chisinau

Starting immediately, the Moldovan airline Air Moldova operates a new flight service between the capital city of the Republic of Moldova Chisinau and Vienna airport. In the context of a press reception on the occasion of the inaugural flight, the new route was officially opened in the presence of Vasile Hincu, CCO Air Moldova, Sergiu Malai, Director Ground Operations Air Moldova, Andrej Popov, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Austria and Nikolaus Gretzmacher, Senior Vice President Operations of Flughafen Wien AG.

An Embraer 190 jet will depart from Chisinau every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1:50 p.m. and land in Vienna at 2:30 p.m. (local times). The return flight will leave Vienna at 3:20 p.m. and arrive in Chisinau at 5:50 p.m.

With its new flight service to Vienna, Air Moldova offers connections to more than 25 destinations across Europe from its hub in Chisinau. The airline, founded in 1993, is the leading carrier in the Republic of Moldova and one of the country’s strongest brands.
