Air Seychelles and Jettainer sign MOU

Air Seychelles has appointed Jettainer to manage its global ULD fleet fro a five-year period, starting on January 1st.

The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding to this effect.

Jettainer’s managing director Alexander Plümacher said: "It is an important milestone for Jettainer to be present in Africa."

Air Seychelles is amongst the few airlines using a unique concept for its LD2 Containers: Asymmetrical containers have their doors at either the left or right hand side. This way, the airline can pair containers the way they will be loaded into the aircraft’s belly.

Air Seychelles operates five Boeing 767 aircraft on its international network and is preparing for the introduction of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Located in Raunheim (near Frankfurt Airport) with branches in Chicago, Philadelphia, Rome and Zurich, Jettainer currently manages more than 80,000 ULD units at about 500 locations worldwide.
