arvato AG builds new logistics centre for Porsche Design Group

Intensification of cooperation with arvato provides support to Porsche Design regarding their scheduled international expansion
 
The international outsourcing service provider arvato AG and the Porsche Design Group (Porsche Lizenz- und Handelsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG) are enhancing their cooperation. Opening a new distribution centre in Harsewinkel near Gütersloh arvato provides about 6,000 m² logistics space to Porsche Design Group – which is as double as much as the previous location in Versmold offered.
 
The new distribution centre in Harsewinkel was especially designed to meet the requirements of the Porsche Design Group. In this warehouse arvato AG manages up to 5,000 items in 8,000 storage shelves and on 7,500 stock pallet slots under special security conditions. Every month more than 23,000 picking positions and about 12,000 packages are handled. The wide range of the lifestyle and luxury goods – including watches, sunglasses, travel luggage, a sports and fashion collection, electronic devices and a fragrance set for men – increases the variance of items to be handled. In the last financial year the Porsche Design Group registered an increase in turnover of 30 per cent to EUR 79.8 million.
