Atrium Medical counts on Menlo Worldwide Logistics

Menlo Worldwide assumes distribution in Europe on behalf of the medical devices supplier Atrium Medical
 
Atrium Medical, one of the world’s leading suppliers of medical devices used in cardiology and radiology, has appointed Menlo Worldwide Logistics to handle its product distribution in Europe. The contract with the Maquet Cardiovascular division, which has commenced in early July, covers the supply of warehousing and transportation management services throughout Europe and will be operated from Menlo’s facility in Eersel, the Netherlands.
 
Menlo, the logistics subsidiary of Con-way Inc., and provides supply chain management services to other divisions of Atrium Medical’s parent company, the Swedish-based Getinge Group. Part of Menlo’s task in Europe is to integrate Atrium Medical’s supply chain with the existing one for the products in the Maquet Cardiovascular division.Tony Gunn, Menlo’s Managing Director in Europe stated, “With the integration of Atrium Medical’s product distribution into the existing supply chain structure of our long-time client Maquet we are demonstrating the first trait.” In a second stage they want to evolve a more effective solution for Atrium Medical in Europe in the coming months.
