Kimberly-Clark Professional prolongs and enhances its cooperation with Balter Logistics in Germany, Austria and Europe:

Aiming to increase the efficiency of logistics chains and to optimise customer service, Kimberly-Clark Professional has charged the Balter Logistics company with the warehousing business of its hygienic and safety solutions in Koblenz. At the same time they prolonged their cooperation in the segment of transport. As for general cargo, the partner of the medium-sized cooperative CargoLine with its headquarters in Mülheim-Kärlich has been active for the brand articles group since 1990. Kimbely-Clark Professional is a business division of the Kimberly-Clark Corporation, marketing the brands KLEENEX® and SCOTT® toilet tissues as well as towels; WYPALL* and KIMTECH* tissues; KLEENGUARD* safety solutions, Jackson Safety, KIMBERLY-CLARK PROFESSIONAL* gloves and KIMCARE* hand cleaning systems.

Balter operates the distribution centre of Kimberly-Clar Professional in Koblenz with 37 staff 362 days a year. The hygienic articles are transported to retailers in Germany, Austria, Belgium and Switzerland. Moreover the forwarder picks orders on behalf of Kimbely-Clark Professional companies in France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, UK, Central and Eastern Europe, Israel as well as Iceland. Further tasks are the handling of rail wagons from the Swiss production site and several cross docking activities.In addition to classic warehousing business and order-picking, they issue also documents, handle customs clearance and returns, inventory control, maintenance work and much more. Moreover they store the complete production of the Kimberly-Clark Professional plant 24 hours a day via SAP.

Balter Logistics (Spedition Balter GmbH & Co. KG) specialises on general cargo transport and contract logistics. In Mülheim-Kärlich around 160 employees operate about 30,000 m² throughput and logistics area and handle about 2,250 consignments per day. The Balter corporate group consists of Balter Logistics, Balter glass retail, Cargo Repal Service pallet service provider as well as the transport subsidiary Balter s.a.r.l. in Luxemburg.
