Positive cargo development at Salzburg Airport

Salzburg Airport registered a considerably increase in air cargo replacement traffic on the road in the year 2010

The year 2010 was marked by a considerable increase of air cargo and air mail transport for the Salzburg Airport. They handled a total volume of 10,414 tons. Thus the 2009 figure was exceeded by 22 per cent, Salzburger Flughafen GmbH announces in a press release.

The growth driver were air cargo replacement services, called trucking in the technical jargon. They accounted for 10,260 tons of goods, which means a 22.7 per cent increase on 2009. Classic air freight declined 11.7 per cent to 154 tons. In total 0.39 tons of air mail were handled.
