Enhanced product range of express delivery company trans-o-flex

Combi freight service provider trans-o-flex introduces Parcel XL and Pallet XL and creates a fair price structure also for heavy and oversized goods:

To render the price structure more transparent and to maintain the exceptional flexibility of the network, trans-o-flex express delivery service is introducing a new product structure this month. With immediate effect, this combi-freight service enterprise, which forwards parcels and goods on pallets in one system, will be distinguishing between four categories in its product portfolio: The standard shipment categories Parcel and Pallet in addition to the Parcel XL and Pallet XL categories for shipments with special dimensions.

“In doing this, we are looking to uphold our claim fair prices for fair services more consistently than before”, explains Kai Schmuck. The Director of Marketing and Sales for the trans-o-flex Logistics Group adds: “Because there has thus far not been a satisfactory costing basis for very heavy and bulky shipments, although these have been transported, the additional costs incurred have not however been billed properly. This leads to distortions within the entire price structure and it is precisely this lack of transparency that we have tackled.”

Their new solution maintains the exceptional flexibility of the service trans-o-flex provides and ensures that the costs are charged fairly with regard to the parties responsible. The standard Parcel and Pallet services apply for the dimensions and weights usual in the industry or which are slightly above. With parcels, these are a weight of up to 32 kg and a combined length and girth of up to 3.30 m, whereby the longest side is allowed to be 2.20 m. With pallets, trans-o-flex goes by the Eurostandard. The maximum weight allowed is 500 kg, the maximum height 2 m.

In providing its additional Parcel XL service, the express delivery company forwards consignments that weigh up to 50 kg, have a maximum combined length and girth of 4.50 m and which are allowed to be up to 2.70 m long. The Pallet XL service category includes palletised shipments that weigh 500 to 800 kg or which have an overhang of 10 cm or more. The international maximum dimensions and weights can deviate from the national regulation. They are also clearly defined, however.

”The special Parcel XL and Pallet XL dimensions can also be combined with our additional services such as express delivery by 8, 10 or 12 o’clock the next working day, Saturday delivery or COD service”, emphasizes Schmuck.
