Bichler forwarding uses telematic allrounder CarLo
Soloplan’s integrated warehouse and transport management system CarLo forms the core of all data streams of Bichler forwarding and logistics
The introduction of CarLo, the integrated warehouse and transportation management system of the specialist for the development of logistics software Soloplan GmbH (Kempten), pays for the freight forwarding and logistics Bichler GmbH. CarLo forms the heart of all data streams in the Lower Austrian company since January 2008. "Every order is processed and controlled from storage and delivery to billing in a single system. Internal interfaces are only for accounting and workshop software", said Manfred Bichler about the benefits of the application. According to him requests are no longer transmitted by mobile phones but via GPRS directly to the onboard computer of the vehicles. This avoids phone and roaming charges as well as transmission errors.
The freight forwarding and logistics company Bichler GmbH is a full service provider in freight forwarding, transportation and logistics business. Moreover the company acts as a partner and committee member for the European-wide operating general cargo cooperation ILN. Bichler’s fleet includes 50 tractors and motor cars as well as seven tank-trains for the transport of milk. In addition, there are around 30 subcontractors working daily. The family company founded in 1947 is managed in its third generation by its owner owners and employs 105 staff. At the headquarters in Rohrbach, Lower Austria a warehouse with 5,500 m² of covered area, a garage, car wash and gas station are available.
