BMW renews its contract with TFG Transfracht for three more years

TFG Transfracht continues operating direct rail service from the BMW plant in Steyr via Linz to the German seaports

BMW prolongs its cooperation with the rail service operator TFG Transfracht. TFG Transfracht Internationale Gesellschaft für kombinierten Güterverkehr mbH & Co. KG, a holding company of DB Mobility Logistics AG and HHLA Intermodal GmbH, transport almost the complete volume of CKD and spare parts from the BMW plants in Steyr, Dingolfing and Wackersdorf/Altenschwand to the German seaports. The cooperation started more than ten years ago, and will now be renewed for three more years.

The container volume of the plant in Steyr; Austria, is transported via the Linz AG terminal by direct rail services to the German seaports. The BMW plants Dingolfing and Wackersdorf are connected to the railway via the DUSS terminal in Regensburg with each up to three departures per operating day. From there the goods are forwarded in more than 15 AlbatrosExpress trains per week to the German seaports Bremerhaven and Hamburg.
