Buss group starts operating the Orange Blue Terminal

First goods transhipped at the new Buss terminal in Eemshaven at the start of August:

At the beginning of August the first ship was dispatched from the Buss group’s Orange Blue Terminal in Eemshaven. The freight consisted of more than 160 trucks and heavy-duty vehicles and 24 containers with a total weight of approx. 1,000 tons bound for Chile.

In September first heavy-duty crane with a payload capacity of more than 200 tonnes will be put into operation at the terminal, as Marc-Oliver Hauswald, Managing Director of Orange Blue Terminals B.V. informs in a press release. In the initial stage Orange Blue Terminals B.V. is operating a terminal with a quay that is 260 metres long and will be extended to a total length of 630 metres in 2012. The terminal has a draught of up to 14 metres, and will also be equipped with a heavy-duty platform. Another advantage of the new business location is its closeness to many companies operating in the energy sector.

Buss Ports operates efficient multi-purpose terminals in Hamburg and other ports and. The terminals transship containers, project cargo, general and bulk goods. In addition a comprehensive offer of in-house port services is available: stowing, lashing and securing, export packing, as well as container freight station (CFS). Buss Ports is also planning and developing new port facilities.
