Acquisition of Bridge Shipping Group strengthens C. Steinweg’s (Rotterdam) market presence in the regions southern and eastern Africa
 
Taking over the Bridge Shipping Group the international warehousing specialist for commodities C. Steinweg (Rotterdam) consolidates its commitment to the economic regions of southern and eastern Africa. The acquired company is a corporate group employing around 500 persons at locations in six countries. Their covered warehousing space is indicated with 75,000 m².
 
The Bridge Shipping Group was established in 1980 and is currently operating in the fields of transport, warehousing, air/ocean freight forwarding and projects. The enterprise based in Johannesburg is specialising in the transport of bulk and commodities in containers, with points of origin and departure in southern and eastern Africa. These activities are managed by their own branches in South Africa, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Tanzania.
