cargo-partner “goes online“ in Bahrain

Own office in Bahrain strengthens the position of the internationally acting forwarding group cargo-partner in the Arab region:

The international expansion of the cargo-partner group is to be continued. Following the recent opening in Malaysia the globally acting transport and logistics enterprise based in Fischamend near Vienna opens its own location in Bahrain. “With this location we strengthen our commitment in the Arab World“, says CEO Mag. Stefan Krauter.

cargo-partner is ready to start with a staff of ten in Bahrein. The services range from common transport business like air and sea cargo to road transports as well as insurance and customs brokerage services. Furthermore some warehouse facilities are available. Stefan Krauter notes: “Bahrain and its Manama airport are of greatest importance for transit cargo to the richest part of Saudi Arabia (Jeddah, Dhahran, Al-Khobar).”

According to cargo-partner Bahrain has one of the fastest growing, as well as the freest economies in the Arab World. Located in the center of the Persian Gulf, Bahrain is the gate to the large economies of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The Bahrain International Airport is ranked amongst the Top Ten of the Middle East Airports. Its average cargo volume per month is about 23,200 tons. With the long expected Bahrain Cargo Oasis the airport’s annual cargo capacity should be increased to one million tons. Furthermore Bahrain offers the Mina Salman Port, which offers 15 berths. In April 2009 the new Khalifa Bin Salman Port opened, which was conceptualised for future expansion with a total size of 110 hectares. The Bahrain Logistics Zone (BLZ) is the first multi-modal logistics hub in the Middle East.
