cargo-partner group enters Indonesian market

New location in Jakarta (Indonesia) consolidates the network of the Austrian group cargo-partner in Southeast Asia
 
The international transport and logistics enterprise cargo-partner recently opened a location in Indonesia’s capital Jakarta. This new site strengthens the network of the company in Southeast Asia. The services provided in Indonesia – by 5 employees – ranges from usual transport business like air and sea freight to warehousing and customs clearance.„Indonesia is a continuously growing region in Southeast Asia. With 238 million inhabitants the country is ranked fourth among the most densely populated countries in the world. We expect continuous growth also in future and increasing exportations in this country. Indonesia is rich in mineral resources and several different agricultural products. Apart from a strong, growing textile industry, more and more labour-intensive industries are establishing there“, says Stefan Krauter, CEO of cargo-partner.
 
Indonesia is a founding member of ASEAN and is also a member of the G20. The port of Jakarta is Indonesia’s biggest seaport and handles about 45 million tonnes of cargo per year. The Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on the island of Java is the biggest airport of the country.
 
The cargo-partner group headquartered in Fischamend near Vienna has 2,400 empployees at more than 100 locations in 31 countries. The service range covers air, sea and road transport for international and domestic customers, completed with solutions to optimise warehousing capacities. Annual turnover of 2012 amounted to EUR 560 million.
