DB Schenker opens new Bulgarian logistics centres
Modern logistics facilities in Plovdiv and Ruse enhance the network of DB Schenker Logistics in Bulgaria
Schenker EOOD (Sofia) is increasing its presence in Bulgaria through the move to new buildings in Plovdiv and Ruse. The Bulgarian company of DB Schenker Logistics is thereby enlarging its logistics network there. The new logistics terminal in the industrial city of Plovdiv, southern Bulgaria, offers over 2,000 m² of cross-docking and warehouse space and modern HGV ramps. The location is incorporated in the national Schenker EOOD network in Bulgaria and also in the worldwide DB network. The warehouse space could be doubled in size in the next few years if needed.
In Ruse in the north of Bulgaria Schenker EOOD has moved into Ruse Logistics Park where it has 1,400 m² of warehouse and office space. The site is in a densely built-up industrial and commercial zone close to the Danube bridge in Ruse. In the last few months Schenker EOOD has also opened new sites in the ports of Varna and Burgas. It now has six outlets with 150 employees in the country and offers the entire range of services, i.e. land transport by road and rail, air and sea freight and contract logistics.
